"Ongoing ※Genocide & Ethoscide"

  • Ongoing ※Genocide & Ethoscide§ in China

  • The Nature of the Persecution of Falun Gong
2
About Falun Gong

  • Falun Gong is an ancient, traditional practice for improving mind, body, and spirit.

  • It is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and includes gentle exercises and meditation.

  • Mr. Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Gong in China in 1992, and later began lecturing worldwide. The practice was highly acclaimed for its benefits.

  • Falun Gong is practiced by nearly 100 million in China, and by people of all ages and all walks of life in over 60 other countries.

3
About the Persecution
  • In the history, communist regime never allowed people has independent thinking, and believe in anything other than communism.
  • Falun Gong was banned in China on July 20, 1999, by Jiang Zemin who was president and the biggest dictator at the time.
  • The ban was initiated by Jiang alone, out of jealousy and fear of Falun Gong*s popularity.
  • A month before declaring Falun Gong illegal, Jiang formed a Gestapo-type agency called the ※610 Office.§
  • The ※610 Office§ is responsible for implementing Jiang*s plan to systematically eliminate Falun Gong nationwide.

4
By definition, the persecution of Falun Gong constitutes genocide
  • Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide:  Article 2
  • In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

  • Killing members of the group
  • Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group
  • Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part
  • Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
  • Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group
5
The persecution is also ※ethoscide,§ or genocide of conscience and spirit
  • Ethoscide: The annihilation of the fundamental factors and values that constitute humanity. The breaking or destruction of spirit, will, or essential character. The forcible compromise of conscience or relinquishing of principles.

6
The word ※ethoscide§ was coined to describe the persecution of Falun Gong
  • Along with having the goal to eliminate a social group and all those who support it or indirectly associate with it, the persecution of Falun Gong primarily aims to:

    • Destroy people*s spirit
    • Take away their dignity
    • Force people to go against their conscience
    • Make practitioners renounce their beliefs

7
※Transformation§ 每 brainwashing is the key to commit ethoscide
  • ※Transformation,§ or the brainwashing of Falun Gong practitioners, plays the most important role in the persecution. Transformation tactics force practitioners to choose between spiritual death and physical death.

  • Practitioners are forced to sign ※Three Statements§ admitting their remorse for practicing, promising to renounce Falun Gong, and guaranteeing never to associate with other practitioners or appeal in Beijing on behalf of Falun Gong.

  • A large percentage of deaths result because victims ※refused to be transformed§ and succumbed to severe torture, force-feeding, or other extreme abuses.

GMRPFGP Data: A tiny tip of the iceberg
  • Data is difficult to collect due to several major obstacles listed below. True numbers are estimated to be much higher than presented here.

  • Nationwide information blockade includes:
    • ※Golden Shield Project§ to block the Internet
    • Internet Police to monitor the Internet
    • Internet caf谷s forced to close
    • Public pledge introduced to control usage

  • Majority of cases not reported due to:
    • Limited Internet access: life-risking
    • NO freedom of the press

Summary
  • The persecution of Falun Gong:
  • Is an ongoing genocide
  • Is murder with a new look, as it aims to destroy conscience and spirit:  ethoscide
  • Affects all of humanity

  •     People throughout China and the world, although not suffering directly or physically from the persecution of Falun Gong, are unknowing victims of ethoscide since the persecution forces people to choose between their conscience and principles of justice, and their interests.
